Job Description
Performs routine and complex nuclear medicine procedures including general imaging, nuclear cardiology in-vitro tests, SPECT, and all necessary aspects of patient care. Injects, scans, performs computer manipulations and generates hard copies. Maintains quality control, radiation safety and documentation.
Job Responsibility
* Reviews all requisitions before performing studies on patients.Verifies patient identification with corresponding request. * Attains required approval and signature by nuclear medicine physicians. * Calibrates all machines daily to ensure proper functioning. * Prepares radiopharmacy preparations and performs calibration of doses before administering to patient * Documents doses administered to patient on log sheets and individual patient's folder. * Ensures completed studies are reviewed by Resident or Attending Staff before patient's departure from department. Performs related duties, as required.

Job Qualification
High School Diploma or equivalent, required. Current New York State License as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, required. Registered by the American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT) and/or certified by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB), required. Previous nuclear medicine technology experience, preferred.
