Nuclear Medicine Technologist - Full Time - Days - $25,000 Sign-On Bonus Department: NUCLEAR MEDICINE Job Summary Under the direction of a qualified physician the Nuclear Medicine Technologist performs a variety of technical procedures that require minimum independent judgement and initiative in the utilization of Nuclear Medicine for the diagnosis of disease. Core Job Responsibilities + Prepares stock solutions of radio pharmaceuticals and materials + calculates and administers doses under the direct supervision of radiologist + Calibrates equipment + Performs diagnostic exams on patients as ordered by physician + Uses scanners or scintillation cameras for detection of radiation emitted to produce image of an organ on photographic film. + Measures radioactivity + Instructs and prepares patient for the exam + Perform other duties as required.
