Nuclear Purchasing Engineer

Job Summary

Emerson is seeking an outstanding purchasing engineer to join our world-class manufacturing team in Tianjin, China. The ideal candidate will be responsible for purchasing materials, supplies, and equipment required for our manufacturing operations, ensuring timely delivery, cost-effectiveness, and compliance with quality standards.

 

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

Order Management: Process purchase orders and track on-time delivery.
Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the inventory team to maintain optimal stock levels.
Quality Assurance: Assess the quality of received goods and address any discrepancies with suppliers promptly.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of purchases, delivery information, and invoices for transparency and traceability.
Cost Analysis: Collaborate with the supply chain to conduct cost analyses and find opportunities for cost savings.
Supplier Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers for long-term collaboration. Communicate effectively with suppliers to ensure mutual understanding and support.
Alignment: Ensure all procurement activities align with company policies and industry regulations.
Technical Liaison: Serve as the point of contact between engineering departments and suppliers to clarify technical specifications or resolve issues.

You acquire data from multiple and diverse sources when solving problems. You maintain a track record of exceeding goals successfully.

 

For This Role, You Will Need:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or equivalent experience.
3 years of working experience in the manufacturing industry.
Strong negotiation and communication skills.
Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
Ability to work collaboratively with multi-functional teams.
Knowledge of industry regulations and compliance standards.
Excellent both in oral and written English; Strong Sense of Responsibility and Collaboration spirits.

 

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

 

Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
Familiarity with ERP systems.
Good at PC skill, such as Power BI, Power Automate, etc.
