Job Summary:
The individual selected for this position will work closely with the customer to address complex scientific problems related to a variety of areas such as physics, chemistry, and the atmospheric sciences. The candidate should have the ability to perform independent research and develop the proper approach/solution to related scientific problems.

Must be a US citizen.Must have a Top-Secret or higher security clearance.Must have a PHD degree in Physics and fifteen (15) or more years of relevant experience with a proven record of research in their field of expertise.Expertise in Physics related disciplines such as Astrophysics, nuclear and electromagnetic theory, hydrodynamics Proficient in creating tools in common programming languages.Knowledge of engineering science and technologyExperience working with the National LabsExpert level knowledge of Optical Modeling and associated phenomenology’sFamiliar with EMP scaling lawsExpert knowledge of nuclear modeling codes such as HYCHEM and RADFLO.Expert knowledge of optical and EMP modeling.Analytical thinking skillsGood writing skills, as there will be a requirement to write reports.Degree of judgment and multi-tasking associated with performing job duties.Good interpersonal skillsEffective communicatorWorks well independently or as part of a teamSuccessful background and drug screening check.Preferred Requirements:
HPC processing relevant to GPU, Parallel, or Tensor designFamiliar with Astrophysics, nuclear physics, electromagnetic theory, hydrodynamicsFinite Volume and/or Finite Difference Time Domain expertise.Physical Demands or Work Environment:
