System One is seeking a Technical Writer for a fully remote, 6-month contract position. This role will support our client in the nuclear industry by assisting with procedure updates and enhancements.
Technical Writer Responsibilities: Review and analyze procedure change assignments, typically provided as redlined PDF documents. Ensure clarity and coherence of procedure content, utilizing client-specific guidelines and subject matter expert input. Coordinate with Document Control departments and relevant stakeholders to facilitate the approval and implementation of procedure changes. Utilize SAP for creating and tracking change tickets, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and internal protocols. Collaborate effectively through Microsoft Teams and Outlook to engage with subject matter experts across multiple locations. Manage multiple procedure assignments concurrently, prioritizing tasks based on urgency and impact. Adapt to evolving project requirements and contribute to continuous process improvement initiatives.
Technical Writer Qualifications: Previous experience in nuclear power operations, ideally in roles such as procedure writer, technical writer, or planner. Familiarity with Adobe Acrobat for PDF editing and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook). Experience with SAP and SharePoint is advantageous. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to engage with stakeholders and build effective working relationships. Analytical mindset with problem-solving abilities, capable of identifying and resolving issues independently. Ability to work remotely and independently while seeking guidance and mentorship as needed.

Work Hours: Standard work week M-F.
Pay Rate: $41.37/Hr,
