Nurse Assistant - Emergency Services (PRN) - Seacoast

Responsibilities:

Job responsibilities include those listed in competency document. Maintains a professional image and exhibits excellent customer relations to patients, visitors, physicians, and coworkers in accordance with our Service Excellence Standards and Core Values Assist with patient care to complete tasks, perform orders, and document interventions in accordance with scope of service under supervision of licensed nurse. Tasks include obtaining vital signs, performing wound care, intake/output, specimen collection, and additional activities with verified competency. Performs or assists with performing nutritional/hydration interventions (feeding, providing fluids, or snacks). Supports optimal daily operation of the department by performing tasks associated with general unit organization and cleanliness, maintaining department supplies, and clerical duties.  Initiates and maintains the hygiene/cleanliness of the patients, the patient’s environment, and the unit environment. Assist with transportation of patients and utilization of appropriate health and safety equipment to protect both patients and staff. Fosters an environment that demonstrates caring, compassion, and respect for all patients, families, and visitors.  Contributes to the overall performance of the department and participate proactively in problem solving initiatives Float to other departments as needed.   Performs all other duties as assigned. 

 

Qualifications:

Phlebotomy, CNA, or EMT certification or 1 year clinical experience Advanced Resuscitative Certification appropriate to patient population served. High School/GED  Basic Life Support
