Job Purpose and Impact
The Nurse Case Manager will serve as a professional health resource to protect, maintain and improve the health status of the injured worker. In this role, you will manage the occupational benefits program, assess needs and develop, monitor and evaluate treatment plans and progress and facilitate interdisciplinary approaches.
Key Accountabilities Develop, implement and evaluate injured worker treatment plans. Serve as a liaison between health professionals, management personnel, healthcare providers and the injured worker. Design and execute employee health and wellness programs using technical knowledge and training. Collaborate across the occupational health team in leading restrictive duty and lost time programs. Provide government required record keeping and medical record maintenance. Analyze results, monitor expenses and implement cost saving actions to improve financial outcomes. Independently solve moderately complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff. Other duties as assigned QualificationsMinimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experienceCurrent active registered nurse license or equivalent, to practice nursing in the state of TexasExperience with email, word processing and spreadsheet applicationsConfirmed leadership and conflict resolution skillsMinimum of two years of related work experienceAvailable to travel on at least a weekly basis to the surrounding cities for Nurse Case ManagementHave a valid driver's license in the state of Texas or the ability to obtain one.Preferred Qualifications
Certification in nursing case managementKnowledge in worker's compensation and government required documentationBackground in emergency, orthopedic surgery or occupational health nursing#LI-DT1
