Nurse Clinician - Direct Care
Overview Are you a Registered Nurse who is interested in working in research? We at MHealth Fairview are looking for you to join our amazing team at our Southdale Hospital! This benefits eligible position is a 1.0FTE(80 hours/2 weeks) on the day shift. This research nursing position supports oncology clinical trials conducted within the M Health Fairview system. The ideal candidate has experience as a research coordinator with participation in clinical trials in the care of a specific population of patients. This individual may provide direct services to patient/families through research participation and provide consultation and education to staff and other health care professionals. This individual interfaces closely with providers, clinical and research team to ensure research regulatory needs are met. Responsibilities Job Description Assists with research projects and clinical trials. Recruits potential study volunteers Follows study subjects according to study protocol Collects data and reports to Principal Investigator conducting study Analyzes/evaluated data as needed for patient safety, protocol compliance and completion of study documentation Provides direct patient care As related to specific research project or clinical trial Functions as a resource to outpatient clinics, and medical staff regarding the research and trial. Provides education services to patients and their families. Provides education services to hospital staff. Serves on task forces, committees and teams related to clinical specialty, research and clinical trials. Qualifications Required Education Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or related field. If bachelors is not in nursing then must have a master’s degree in nursing. Experience 2 years nursing experience License/Certification/Registration Current MN RN License Preferred Education Advanced Degree is nursing or related field Experience 3 or more years nursing experience License/Certification/Registration Certification in Specialty Area Additional Requirements: Knowledge of research methods Knowledge of the Code of Federal regulations an ICH Guidelines for GCP’s Ability to apply knowledge of regulations Knowledge of HIPAA regulations as they pertain to Research and Standard of Care Strong verbal and written communication skills Clinical expertise in area of assigned specialty Knowledge of learning principles and education theory Ability to develop educational resource materials Ability to work as a member of a team Interpersonal Skills Professional Credibility EEO Statement EEO/AA Employer/Vet/Disabled: All qualified applicants will receive consideration without regard to any lawfully protected status
