The Student Nurse Extern (SNE) will perform clinical duties under the direction of a skilled Registered Nurse Preceptor, performs basic functions of patient care to patients using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice. The SNE will have competencies completed for both extern and nurse aide positions provided through a competency checklist from their nursing program.
