NURSE INTERN

PAY RATE: $17.25

The Nurse Internship (NI) program will run from June 2nd to August 9th, 2025. 

All NI candidates are required to provide the following to move to the next phase of the Nurse Internship Selection Process:

2 Professional Letters of Recommendation. *One must be from a clinical instructor Unofficial Transcript

This program is designed for students to observe the role and responsibilities of the Registered Nurse (RN), perform a variety of skills learned as a nursing student, ease the transition from student to Graduate Nurse, and provide student nurses an opportunity to enhance their clinical skills. 

In the program, student nurses from BSN/ADN programs with senior status as of the following Fall semester are selected as Nurse Interns (NI).  Each NI is assigned to an RN who serves as the NI Preceptor.  The NI will function under the direct supervision of his/her RN monitoring during the program.  

Some of the skills that an Intern can perform are: 

Tube Feedings  Suctioning (oral, nasal, tracheal) Venipuncture under supervision Basic C.N.A./PCA Skills Glucometers  Foley Cather insertion
