Regions Hospital is looking for exceptional, patient focused nursing students to join our team as a Summer Nurse Intern to make a difference for our patients and our community. This position will start on June 2, 2025 and continue through August 8, 2025. You will be scheduled to work a 0.8 FTE (32 hours per every 2 weeks) and may be assigned any shifts and weekends. Applicants must be able to meet these requirements to be considered. This intern position is for RN students who have an anticipated graduation date of Winter 2025 or Spring/Summer 2026.

POSITION SUMMARY STATEMENT:
Provides inpatient care by performing both non-professional nursing care duties as well as professional nursing duties that are delegated and supervised by a professional nurse and are within the scope of the job description and performs other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
Current enrollment in a BSN, BAN or MSN program and has completed year 3 and not currently licensed. Must be a Winter 2025 or Spring/Summer 2026 graduate. Must enroll in and provide proof of enrollment in an internship course at your school prior to June 2, 2025.
Experience:
Clinical student nursing experience under the direction of a nursing faculty member.
Licensure/ Registration/ Certification:
Must obtain CPR certification prior to start of internship.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge and skill in performing aseptic technique. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Ability to properly lift 50 pounds, lifts 100 pounds with assistance. Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods of time. Ability to communicate effectively and work cooperatively with patients, visitors, and co-workers. Ability to perform basic technical nursing skills.Ability to incorporate the nursing process when providing patient care.
