Nurse-LPN

As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you will coordinate appropriate medical care, dental care, and mental health services nursing care/services to a youth and adolescent population with emotional, behavioral and physical needs. You will ensure that medical treatment services meet the requirements of the regulating agency. You will report to a Registered Nurse and you will work onsite.

Responsibilities:

Complete the nursing observations report findings to the registered nurse Review lab and test results, reporting critical values to RN and providers Medication management including ordering medications and obtaining prior authorizations Dispense medications Communicate with medical director/providers regarding observation in client’s health/behavior Provide client and family education regarding medications and treatments Collaborate with our staff regarding concerns and behaviors Participate in Interdisciplinary Medication Review meetings Nursing documentation using EHR Update discharge planning needs Other duties as assigned within scope of practice and based on agency needs 

Requirements and Education:

LPN Licensed in New York State 1 to 2 years of experience Experience working with youth and adolescent population desired
