Overview Provides leadership in the development of professional nursing practice by providing administrative support and structure for the delivery of professional nursing care in the Department of Radiology. Accountable for strategic planning, implementation, evaluation, and revision of systems that support professional practice and achieve the nursing vision and organizational goals. Maintains 24-hour accountability for unit functions. The Nurse Manager provides leadership to achieve the organization's mission of excellent patient care and nursing's vision of setting a new standard of excellence in autonomous and accountable nursing practice committed to patient advocacy and innovative patient care in a climate of trust and collaboration Qualifications Minimum Education and Experience Requirements: Current RN license in state of Florida. Master's degree in Nursing required. Consideration will be given to those currently enrolled in formal education to obtain MSN. National nursing certification required within the first six months of hire. Minimum of five years professional nursing practice experience required with minimum of 3 years in clinical specialty. Demonstrates leadership and management skills with knowledge and application of advanced professional nursing practice, CQI process, nursing care delivery models, health care delivery systems, and budgetary process.
