Nurse Manager

Position Summary

Responsible for clinical and operational oversight of Endoscopy Laboratory; daily operational activities with a focus on patient safety, efficiency, outcomes, human resource management, ensuring compliance with all DOH,TJ, and hospital policies.

Primary Position Responsibilities

Assumes the responsibility of clinical and operational oversight 

Human resource management

Regulatory compliance/TJC/DOH/Accrediting bodies/HH policies

Commitment to patient safety, quality outcomes, patient experience

Other duties as assigned

Reporting Relationships

Reports to (position):

Administrative Director Nursing

Supervises (position(s):

RN’s, UC’s, Endoscopy technicians, and individuals functioning on the inpatient unit

Qualifications

Minimum Education:

Required:

Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing

Preferred:

Masters in Nursing or Administrative Healthcare, National certification


Minimum Years of Experience (Amount, Type and Variation):

Required:

3 years acute care nursing experience

2 Year Endoscopy experience

Preferred:

2 years prior supervisory experience


License, Registry or Certification:

Required:

Current New Jersey RN licensure

Preferred:

National Certification


Knowledge, Skills and/or Abilities:

Required:

Complete yearly competency based program, use hospital approved equipment, excellent communication and conflict resolution skills, well organized and able to remain calm under stress, delegate appropriate tasks, knowledgeable in both
DOH and TJC regulations and hospital policy and procedure.
