Position Summary

The Nurse Manager is responsible for implementing, directing, communicating and documenting the nursing process and provides a safe environment for patients, visitors and associates.

Job Responsibilities

Provides clinical and operational oversight of patient care unit. Makes patient rounds daily assuring patient care needs are met. Interacts with medical staff on a regular basis. Functions as a clinical resource to staff and physicians, with continuous collaboration with staff.    Assists in the provision of patient care as necessary. Responds to issues related to problem resolution and conflict management when presented with issues/concerns for the unit. Conducts a thorough investigation and follow-up for any patient care concerns raised.

Education/Experience

BSN from an accredited school of nursing. Must have three (3) years of nursing experience with two (2) years in area of specialty. Currently licensed as a RN by the State of Indiana Health Professions Bureau. Obtains and maintains current certification in BLS, and other required certificates in specialty areas.
