**Responsibilities**
**Job** **Summary / Purpose**
The Nurse Manager is responsible for assisting with organizing, planning, leading, and directing clinical and management activities for the designated nursing unit. The Nurse Supervisor contributes to organizational operations. The Nurse Supervisor is accountable for daily supervision of patient/nursing care
delivery. The Nurse Supervisor participates as a member of the health care team in maintaining continuity and quality of patient care. This position reports to the departmental Nursing Director.
**Essential Key Job Responsibilities**
1. Identify and participate in the establishment of Nursing and ancillary staff development programs to support the necessary skills needed to provide outstanding care to the patient population of CHI Memorial.
2. Participate in the establishment and annual assurance of competencies for all patient care staff and monitor on an ongoing basis.
3. Establish and maintain high levels of physician satisfaction for all services provided.
4. Participate in the development and implementation of plans for nurse recruitment and retention.
5. Work collaboratively with all departments to achieve and maintain high patient satisfaction.
6. Meet the compliance standards of various regulatory bodies which affect the provision of services, to include the Joint Commission, life safety, state, federal and other regulatory bodies.
7. Departmental management to ensure operations within budgetary requirements.
8. Identifies and explores opportunities for expanding and improving current services. Designs new ways to approach team and organizational goals.

**Qualifications**
**Requirements:**
+ Current Registered Nurse (RN) license that allows you to practice in our state
+ BSN required from an accredited nursing program
+ Minimum of 3 years leadership experience OR minimum of 5 years leadership experience in the discipline OR Master’s Degree and no experience
+ Two years in charge or leadership position within last five years in a hospital setting. Five years recent nursing experience
+ Basic Life Support (BLS) required
+ ACLS required within 6 months
+ Specialty certification required within 6 months
+ Additional certification or licensure may be required for some specialty areas
**Pay Range**
$40.56 - $58.81 /hour
