JOB SUMMARY

Promotes and restores patients' health by developing day-to-day management and long-term planning of the patient care area; directing and developing staff; demonstrating fiscal responsibility; collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary professional staff; ensure an environment conducive to patient and family centered care.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Minimum Education Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing  Minimum Work Experience 2 years of acute care Required Licenses/Certifications Current Texas RN license BLCS ACLS Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities Compile, analyze and present reports Develop, review, and revise applicable policies, procedures and job guides Compose letters/memoranda Coordinate meetings, develop agendas, perform loop closure Develop office procedures Interview for all department subordinate positions Proven written and editing skills Research information/data; incorporate evidence-based practice Use computerized spreadsheets to conduct analysis Strong leadership skills and growth potential Adjunct patient care on unit as needed
