Nurse Manager (RN)

The Nurse Manager will have overall responsibility for the quality, adequacy of services provided, and supervision of care staff. The Nurse Manager establishes, implements, and evaluates goals and objectives for home care services that meet and promote our standards of quality. Candidate should have a strong "hands on" clinical background and feel comfortable leading, managing and teaching. This is an outstanding opportunity for an RN who has an entrepreneurial spirit and would like to help our team grow our in-home skilled nursing business.

Responsibilities

Makes the initial evaluation visit and establishes personalized Plan of Care for client(s) with regular re-evaluationCounsels client and family through care process while updating family on a regular basisPrepares clinical and progress notes and summaries of care.Participates in agency performance improvement activities and remains informed of best practices in the field of nursing and home care. Shares information with appropriate organization personnel.Assists in the development of organization goals. Develops, recommends, and administers agency policies and procedures.Supervises, educates and coaches other nursing personnel/care-giving staff.Assures proper maintenance of clinical records in compliance with local, state and federal laws.Accepts "hand on" nursing field assignments from national account partners during ramp up of businessPlans and implements in-service and training programs within the communityPromotes home care referrals in the local health care community 

Requirements

Current unrestricted PA RN licenseRN with a minimum of two (2) years clinical experienceMinimum one (1) year of documented supervisory experiencePreferred: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing. Must have graduated from a National League of Nursing accredited programReliable car/auto insuranceClean background and criminal recordUnderstands regulatory compliance with state and federal regulationsAdhere to HIPAA and maintain client confidentialityDemonstrated ability to supervise and direct staff.Possess exceptional nursing assessment skillsComply with accepted professional standards of practice.Proven ability to build quality and implement improvements within the operation.Excellent interpersonal skills.Analytic/Critical thinker.Excellent customer service skills and ability to deal tactfully with clients, staff and community.Treat clients, staff and the public with courtesy, respect and presents a positive public image.Case management skills are a plusPolicy development is a plusAbility to travel on a daily basis including weekends, nights and holidays
