Nurse Manager (RN) - Physiatry, Neurology & Rheumatology
Job Summary: The Nurse Manager directs the activities and resources of the physiatry, neurology, and rheumatology departments to ensure alignment with the organization's mission, values, and objectives. This role provides leadership, operational oversight, and strategic direction to enhance patient care, staff performance, and overall departmental efficiency.

Job Description:

What You'll Do:

Develops and implements specific departmental goals, standards, and objectives that directly support the strategic plan and vision of the organization.Directs and evaluates departmental operations including performance management, staff satisfaction, and conflict management. Performs and oversees scheduling, recruitment, payroll, and student engagements.Plans and monitors departmental budgets, regulatory compliance, departmental contracts, and vendor relations. Determines and justifies needs for systems/equipment/supplies purchases, monitors usage, and oversees proper working order and/or stock supplies.Prepares, monitors, and evaluates the quality of patient care delivered and coordinates patient care services with patients, staff, physicians, and other departments. Manages complaints and conflicts through to resolution.

Hiring Requirements:

Active Maine RN licensure or ability to obtain promptlyAt least 3 years of RN experience, with 1-2 years of supervisory experience preferredMedical office experience preferredExcellent teamwork and leadership skillsProven and demonstrated critical thinking skillsStrong and effective written and oral communication skills
