As our Medical Surgical Nurse at Good Samaritan, you’ll excel in your nursing career by providing care to patients admitted to our unit. Most of your patients are funneled in from other units providing you with the opportunity to build on your education and experience in specialized service lines such as cardiac, telemetry, orthopedics, neurology, critical care, surgical services, and emergency.

The medical-surgical unit at Good Samaritan Hospital is a 24-bed dedicated unit that cares for a variety of patients including general surgery, medsurg, gynecology, psych/detox, ENT, and general medicine.
Compensation: Base rate + shift differential
Incentives: $25,000 sign on bonus till June 30th, up to $10,000 education assistance (must have graduated within 5 years)
Nurse Residency offered for all New Graduates
Responsibilities
Except to deliver care to 4-6 patients per shift Administer medications, change dressings, monitor vital signs, and chart with timely documentation Collaborate with a variety of other healthcare professionals such as social work, care coordination, physical therapy, occupational therapy, lab, respiratory therapy, and imaging
Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited nursing programActive RN licensure in the state of Nebraska or nurse licensure compact. Basic life support thorugh American Heart Assoiciation is required upon hire.
