Responsibilities
PACU PM shift Registered Nurse
We are a 12 bed PACU of a level 2 trauma facility. The PACU department recovers patients from our inpatient and outpatient services ranging from general surgery bariatric orthopedics and pediatric services. We recover and discharge patients to include educating families and patients. Our unit is a fast paced environment designed to support up to 10 working OR's 24 hours a day.
Job Summary:
The incumbent is defined as a professional who provides and supervises care to individuals and families. The PACU registered nurse provides patient and family care based on the nursing process and consistently provides a safe and confidential environment post surgical intervention. As a professional the PACU registered nurse is responsible for providing leadership and maintaining personal professional development.

Minimum:
At least 1 year experience as a PACU Registered Nurse in a post anesthesia care unit or in an ICU/ED settingCurrent California RN LicenseCurrent BLS, ACLS and PALS from the American Heart AssociationOther certifications may be requiredWeekends and Call requiredPreferred:
Skills related to laboratory and x-ray order entry and online documentation preferred
