NURSE PRACTITIONER
Emerson Hospital
Under general direction of the Medical Director of the wound Center the nurse practitioner performs treatment, management, control, diagnostic evaluation and care of patients with deficiencies and abnormalities associated with problematic wounds who are receiving comprehensive wound care and or hyperbaric oxygen treatment.
Minimum Qualifications
Education Completion of a master’s degree in nursing and an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Program required Experience 3+ years’ experience in general surgery, wound care or related field. Licensure and/or Certification Current license as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Massachusetts required. National certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant required (this is required for Massachusetts licensure). (ARNP) or (PA-C) BLS healthcare provider required. Skills Computer skills required Understands and is committed to maintaining highest level of confidential information. Demonstrated ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team, in collaborative settings, required. Strong interpersonal communication skills, on the phone and in person Excellent written and verbal communication skills required. Excellent customer service skills. Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English. Excellent problem-solving skills required, including creativity, resourcefulness, timeliness, and technical knowledge related to analyzing and resolving medical problems.
