Job Description
Plan, direct and evaluate resident and employee health care in long-term care settings. This role involves daily travel to various facilities, with regions varying based on scheduling needs. Examine and treat chronic and acute episodic wound-related illnesses, minor injuries, and accidents. Interpret diagnostic tests and recommend appropriate follow-up. Refer to and update physicians, write prescriptions, and perform bedside procedures associated with wound care. Work with the medical director in the care and treatment of residents and staff.
Responsibilities
+ Debridement of wounds by sharp, enzymatic, autolytic, or surgical methods at the place of patient visit.
+ Application and management of topical wound care and associated wound management products.
+ Direct and recommend associated services to improve wound healing outcomes.
+ Educate patients and Primary Care Physicians on current wound management practices.

+ Skilled Nursing Facility experience
+ Charting
+ Geriatric care
+ Wound Care Certification
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Must be currently licensed as a registered nurse in the state of Illinois
+ Current active, unrestricted state APRN license or ability to obtain prior to hire.
+ Successful completion of an approved nurse practitioner program.
+ Current approval by the Board of Nursing to perform medical acts.
+ Master’s degree in Nursing.
+ Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Position will be traveling throughout the southern Illinois region, required to have reliable transportation. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $135000.00/yr.
