Nurse Practitioner (ACNP, AGACNP, FNP) / Physician Assistant Unit 52 Surgical Floor | Nights & Weekends | Full Time
Overview At UF Health Shands Hospital, our Unit 52 Advanced Practice Provider (APP) team is dedicated to delivering evidence-based, comprehensive and innovative care to our medical-surgical patient populations, specifically within the UF Health Liver Transplant and Colorectal Surgery programs. In this role, the APP will operate in a highly autonomous practice setting, while collaborating with both the abdominal transplant team and the colorectal surgery team to ensure high quality patient care is delivered. The duties of the APP include diagnosis, treatment, and provision of care to our patients, as defined by the APPs scope of practice. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: Masters Degree in Nursing with national nurse practitioner board certification and Florida licensure Masters Degree from an accredited Physician Assistant Program, with board certification and Florida licensure BLS required. Credentialing: Must meet requirements set forth by the Medical Staff Office to obtain and retain privileges to practice as a Physician Assistant within UF Health Shands Hospital and/or the Shands UF Healthcare Network, as applicable. Licensure/Certification/Registration: Current and clear license (or eligible to be licensed) as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) in the State of Florida. BLS is required. Motor Vehicle Operator Designation: Employees in this position: Will not operate vehicles for an assigned business purpose NOTE: A frequent driver is defined as one who uses his/her personal or Shands automobile a) at least once daily, b) at least five individual trips per week or c) drives, on average, over 150 miles per week in the performance of his/her job.
