Nurse Practitioner- Endocrinology- Flatbush Brooklyn

Job Summary :

We are seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner with Endocrinology expertise to join our multispecialty
group in pursuit of high-quality patient care to provide full scope Endocrinology services in collaboration
with our physicians.

Responsibilities :

• Review patient’s history, reports and examination results. Perform physical examination.
• Order and interpret appropriate diagnostic tests to determine diagnosis and design individualized
treatment plan.
• Evaluate and diagnose patients with a variety of hormonal diseases and conditions related to the
endocrine systems. Provide appropriate treatment and patient care.
• Provide comprehensive cost-effective diabetes care with available support of CDE(Certified
Diabetes Educator)/RD (Registered Dietitian) services.
• Recommend suitable management for the patient, including but not limited to, preventive health
recommendations and habits.
• Prescribe medications in accordance with New York State and federal law and formulate ongoing
treatment and disease management plans.
• Maintain complete and accurate medical records.
• Provide relationship-centered care, taking into account the patient’s psychosocial and physical
needs.
• Communicate effectively with the clinical team to ensure total delivery of quality care.
• Perform other job-related duties as required.
• Participate in medical staff educational programs and meetings.

The Ideal Candidate :

• One to three years of endocrinology clinical experience in an outpatient setting.
• Ability to diagnose and treat a wide variety of endocrinology conditions with a focus on improving
patient outcomes.
• Demonstrate competency in diagnosis and treatment to assure high standards of patient care and
safety are maintained.
• Patient-centered approach toward a positive patient experience.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Interest in Population Health Management.

Qualifications :

• Master of Science degree in Nursing (MSN)
• Graduate of a Nurse Practitioner education program registered by the New York State Education
Department.
• Certification as a Nurse Practitioner from a New York State approved accrediting body –
American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), American Association of Nurse Practitioners
(AANP).
• Must possess current, unrestricted New York State Registered Nurse license.
• Seeking experienced clinicians with Endocrinology or Diabetes treatment outpatient experience–
Two to three years strongly preferred.
• Must possess active Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) registration or be eligible for registration.
• Must possess active Medicare/Medicaid Enrollment or be eligible to enroll.
• BLS or ACLS certification required.
• Must possess strong communication skills both oral and written.
• Comfortable with the use of Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system and Microsoft Office.
