Key Responsibilities and Expectations


 

We are seeking an experienced Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) for a full-time, 100% out-patient practice in a busy, well established office located in Sherburne, NY in conjunction with Chenango Memorial Hospital in Norwich, NY.  This opportunity includes outstanding clinical and administrative support staff.

UHS Medical Group, with 400+ physicians providing care in over 30 medical and surgical specialties in multiple locations, is a progressive multi-specialty group with a large primary care base. The group is affiliated with United Health Services Hospitals in Binghamton, NY, the regional leader in healthcare.
  
There is a wide variety of patients, well-equipped exam room, electronic (EPIC) medical records, and a competent support staff. The successful candidate will possess excellent clinical and interpersonal skills as well as a team player. Sherburne is located in the center of New York State. Provides primary care to patients, collaborating with and under the direction of physicians in the clinic, following established standards and practices. Helps with all aspects of patient care, including diagnosis, treatments and consultations. Educates patients about preventative care and prescribed treatments. Conducts physicals, orders tests and serves as a patient’s primary healthcare provider.

Must be board certified and able to be licensed in the state of New York.

Salary: $124,000 - $145,800 Annually

Education/Experience

Minimum Required:

Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degreePossession of an NPI (National Provider Identification) number, as evidenced by the receipt of a copy of the notification assigning the numberSuccessful completion of an approved Nurse Practitioner programThree (3) years of professional nursing experience in a clinical setting

Preferred:

Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)


License/Certification

Minimum Required:

Current NYS Registered Professional Nurse LicenseAmerican Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP)certificationCurrent NYS Certified Nurse Practitioner (CNP) license and certification with New York State Education DepartmentDocumentation of current CPR certification required within one (1) week of hire, with maintenance of current CPR certification during employmentCertified Prescriptive Privilege in NYS

Preferred:

Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) CertificationPossession of Bureau of Narcotics and Dangerous Drugs (BNDD)Number
 

Work Environment

All work is performed in offices and patient examination rooms that require working in close quarters with other employees and patients. The offices are air conditioned/heated. Travel to other UHS Physician Practice locations may be necessary.PPE is used as required by Infection Control policies.
