We are looking for a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for a Primary Care office in the west suburbs of Chicago to provide in-clinic care, and may include rounding at local nursing homes. Previous EMR experience is required. This is a part-time position that may transition to full-time, based on experience.Responsibilities:Examine patients and their medical records Order and study diagnostic tests (blood tests, X-rays etc.) Diagnose health conditions and illnesses Propose treatments for chronic diseases Prescribe medications Maintain accurate records and schedules Inform patients about their health conditions and prescribed medications Educate patients and their family members on diseases, epidemics and prevention Oversee patients’ overall health Promote good health practices Advance professional knowledgeSkills:Proven experience as Nurse Practitioner Expertise in primary care, acute care and chronic care practices Knowledge of health and patient care regulations Excellent communication skills Strong ethics Team spirit with a positive attitude Patience and compassion Willingness to continue gaining knowledge and clinical experience EMR experience Must have active Illinois NURSE PRACTITIONER and DEAMedical Specialty:Primary Care Geriatrics Internal MedicinePhysical Setting:Outpatient Clinic Private practice Nursing home
