Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant - Solid Organ Transplant Surgery

University of Minnesota Physicians is seeking a Certified Nurse Practitioner or a Certified Physician Assistant to join our Solid Organ Transplant Surgery practice in Minneapolis.

In This Role, You Will:

Coordinates and facilitates the delivery of care to adult kidney, liver, and pancreas transplant surgery patients in the pre-transplant, waitlist, and early post-transplant phases of care, as well as vascular access patients. Performs physical examinations and minor, in-office procedures. Orders, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic tests to identify and assess patients' clinical problems and health care needs. Recommends treatment and prescribes medication. Consults with physicians (as needed) and makes appropriate referrals for evaluation or treatment. This is primarily an outpatient position; however, some inpatient work may be required.

We’re Looking For a PA or NP Who Is:

A graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or formal Adult Nurse Practitioner training program.Eligible or is certified through NCCPA, ANCC or AANP.Licensed or eligible to acquire a license and prescriptive authority through the MN Board of Medical Practice (PAs) or MN APRN license or eligible to acquire a license and prescriptive authority through MN Board of Nursing (NP’s).Able to meet threshold criteria/qualifications for credentialing and privileges.

Preferred:

4+ years of experience in the care of complex patients.Hospital experience and experience in the care of post-surgical patients.

The full-time salary range is $125,759 - $155,660 commensurate with practice experience and may also include incentive compensation or additional specialty-specific compensation components. Salary prorated based on FTE.
