Asst. - General Inpatient Medicine, per diemDepartment:Patient Services-NursingAutoReqId:77999BRStatus:Part-TimeStandard Hours per Week:1 Job Posting Category:NursingJob Posting Description: This Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant will be responsible for: + Providing care to infants, children, adolescents and families including the management of acute and chronic illnesses requiring hospitalization on acute care medical units + Collaborating with the collaborating physician to conduct patient assessments, medical histories, physical exams, and diagnose health and developmental problems. + Participating in inpatient medical rounds, including the presentation of clinical information, the progress and management of patients, and assisting in establishing and implementing treatment plans. + Participating in or leading quality and safety initiatives + Offering expertise as consultant and educator to nursing staff. + Rotating 10-12 hour shifts on a per diem basis (minimum 4 shifts/6 week block). + To qualify, you must have: + A minimum of 2+ years inpatient pediatric experience with preference for those with experience in caring for higher acuity or higher complexity patients + 1+ year of Pediatric NP or PA experience preferred + Would consider new graduate nurse practitioner with recent pediatric inpatient RN experience + Master’s Degree with current NP or PA license, BLS and PALS certification Office/Site Location:BostonRegular, Temporary, Per Diem:Per Diem Remote Eligibility :Onsite Only
