Nurse Practitioner Physician Assistant – Phase I Cancer Clinical Trial Full time Days

Henry Ford Health is seeking a dedicated and skilled full-time Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) specializing in Oncology to join our dynamic team!

This role involves providing comprehensive care to patients participating in Phase I cancer clinical trials. The ideal candidate will have a strong clinical background in oncology care, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care. The successful candidate will demonstrate expertise in clinical trial protocols and a dedication to advancing cancer treatment through meticulous patient management and support. This is a 40-hour day position (no weekends) reporting to the Oncologist.  The Specialty/Invasive Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) will work in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment. The Specialty/Invasive NP or PA will be responsible for the assessment, diagnosis, treatment, education, consultation, and care coordination as a first line provider to patients and their families. Provides inpatient and/or outpatient medical care. Works in collaboration with attending physicians, advanced practice providers, consultants, house officers, nurses, and other members of the medical care team to ensure that patient outcomes are achieved safely and efficiently. Specific procedures as per credentialing as indicated by training and experience. 2 years of previous APP clinical experience AND either two years of research or two years of oncology experience required. 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

Master's degree in nursing. -OR- Requires a bachelor's degree and completion of an AMA-approved Physician Assistant program   CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED: Current certification as a Certified Nurse Practitioner. Current State license as a Registered Nurse -OR-- current licensure as a Physician Assistant. Current BLS. Current ACLS/ATLS/PALS provider status as required by department.
