Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant Clinical Instructor of Emergency Medicine (Practitioner)

Keck School of Medicine’s Department of Emergency medicine of the University of Southern California is looking for a full-time Clinical Instructor to join the department. The candidate for this position should be licensed as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant and demonstrate excellence in training and patient care. This position offers competitive salary, with university benefits and appointment at USC’s Keck School of Medicine appropriate to the level of training and experience.

The annual base salary range for this position is $140,000-$150.000.  When extending an offer of employment, the University of Southern California considers factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, federal, state, and local laws, contractual stipulations, grant funding, as well as external market and organizational considerations.

Nurse Practitioner: Under general supervision and in accordance with standardized procedures, incumbent performs physical examinations and treats common episodic and chronic health care problems, counsels patients and families, monitors patient progress, assists with medical research appropriate, but retains responsibility for ongoing clinical management of the patient.

Physician Assistant: Incumbent performs diagnostic, therapeutic, preventative and health maintenance services under the direction and supervision of a licensed physician.
