Practice Highlights: Saint Alphonsus Medical Group (SAMG) seeks an Oncology Advanced Practice Provider genuinely interested in oncology and benign hematology along with a patient centered approach to outpatient care provided at the Saint Alphonsus Cancer Institute. This position will provide primary support in our Boise Cancer Institute.
In collaboration with physicians of the Cancer Institute, the well-qualified candidate will provide high-level independent services to patients within the Cancer Program. Clinical responsibilities include assessment, consultation, management of follow-up patients, triage resolution including add-on patients and infusion room complications, laboratory follow-up and oversight of chemotherapy administration at all program sites within the scope of practice. The provider will participate in the new patient consultation process and will support and participate in the provision of integrative medicine services. Compliance with standards of care and practice is required in accordance with all established policies, procedures, and guidelines used in the medical treatment facility and request timely consultation or referral with appropriate physicians, clinics, or other health resources as indicated.
Requirements:
Current, unrestricted Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner medical license in Oregon and Idaho; valid controlled substance registration with Idaho; Board of Pharmacy and DEA (and eventual registration with Oregon).
Nurse Practitioner (NP):Successful completion of NP Graduate Program (Masters Level preferred) and either AANP or ANCC certification.
Physician Assistant (PA):Successful completion of PA Graduate Program (Masters Level preferred) and NCCPA certification (PA-C).
strong medical background and a desire to develop a practice to support a growing multi-specialty medical group. Previous advance practice provider experience in oncology or internal medicine preferred.
