Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant - Pediatric Hospitalist

Pediatric Hospitalist Advanced Practice Provider 

Inova L.J. Murphy Children’s Hospital is looking for a dedicated Pediatric Hospitalist Advanced Practice Provider to join the team. This role will be full-time position, including nights and weekends. Sign-on bonus and relocation assistance eligible.

Pediatric Hospitalist APP Job Responsibilities:

Provide expert care of children from birth to young adulthood  Our Pediatric hospitalists and APPs provide 24/7 in-house coverage of the pediatric medical unit, Intermediate Care unit, and consultative services to our surgical colleagues  While caring for both the general and medically complex pediatric populations, we also remain at the forefront of education for residents, medical students and APP students and are involved in mentorship, research, and QI projects.  We educate over 150 medical students from 2 different schools in our region and are the Northern Virginia campus for the UVA School of Medicine  Our APPs work alongside the Pediatric Residents and are involved in the education of our medical students and APP students and have academic appointments for this role

Additional Requirements:

Work schedule: Full Time (including nights and weekends) Education: Graduate of an accredited graduate school of nursing or physician assistant program with a master’s degree Experience: Minimum of one year of Pediatric experience preferred   Certification: Licensed as an Advance Practice Provider and DEA as set forth by the state of Virginia. Certification with Pediatric Nursing Board (PNCB) for Pediatric Acute Care or National Commission on Certification oh Physician Assistants (NCCPA) for Physician Assistants. BLS, ACLS, PALS certification
