The **Nurse Practitioner** will provide outpatient, non-urgent care services to beneficiaries of the Indian Health Service at the Lawton Indian Hospital in Lawton, Oklahoma. Lawton Indian Hospital is a full-service hospital providing a variety of inpatient, outpatient, and public health services. Their mission is to “raise the physical, mental, social and spiritual health of American Indians and Alaska natives (AI/AN) to the highest level possible.” They provide “approximately 800 admissions and over 185,000 outpatient visits per year.” For more information about the hospital, please visit https://www.ihs.gov/oklahomacity/healthcarefacilities/lawton/ Position details: + 1099, $100-110/hour + Full time + Chenega covers medical malpractice insurance + Patient Volume: Estimated 20 per day **Responsibilities** + Examine, diagnose, and develop treatment plans and recommendations for patients seen. + Recommend and refer patients to other Indian Health Service providers and Contract Health Service (CHS) vendors withinappropriate IHSguidelines. + Document services intheelectronicmedical record system for patient encounters; complete all required administrative paperwork day of appointment to include electronic consults, co-signatures, completion of chart or Risk Management Reviews, unusualoccurrencesand peer review. + Provide consultation to the Emergency Department health care providers on an as needed basis. + Complete and sign their encounter orders and progress notes daily. + Provide Nurse Practitioner services in all departments, as needed. **Qualifications** + Master of Science in Nursing(MSN)degree from aprogram accredited by the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC) or the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE). + Possess current certification as a nurse practitioner with trainingcommensuratewith the training required by the position by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP). + Current BLS and ACLS certifications. + Active DEA license. **Estimated Salary/Wage** USD $100.00/Hr.
