Penn Medicine Princeton Health is seeking New Graduates to join our Nurse Residency Program in Plainsboro, NJ. This is a full-time opportunity, shifts vary.
The units we are hiring for this March are: Operating Room and Behavioral Health.
As a New Graduate at UPHS, you will be hired into the prestigious Nurse Residency Program that is offered at Princeton 3 times per year: March, August, and November. You can apply for jobs now prior to graduating. All applications will be accepted and reviewed for eligibility. Candidates who meet eligibility, can and will be considered for interviews prior to passing NCLEX. Candidates selected for offer will then be asked to provide references for satisfactory review. Final offers will be made to candidates with a tentative start date prior to passing NCLEX based on scheduling and passing NCLEX.
The Nurse Residency Program at Penn Medicine Princeton Health is a 12-month program designed to support recent nursing graduates as they transition into their first nursing role. The program consists of a series of work and learning experiences that emphasize and develop the clinical and leadership skills necessary for the advanced beginner nurse to become a successful part of the interprofessional health care team.
Upon hire at Penn Medicine, all eligible new to practice nurses are automatically enrolled into the Nurse Residency Program at Penn Medicine. In addition to a full salary and an excellent benefits package, the Nurse Residency Program provides exceptional support and resources to new graduate nurses a true benefit to working at Penn Medicine.
The Nurse Resident works under the direct supervision of an experienced RN preceptor. The nurse resident is a licensed RN and is provided a variety of additional opportunities in which to strengthen their knowledge and skill in the practice of nursing through a work-learn environment.

Credentials:
+ Basic Cardiac Life Support (Required)
+ Registered Nurse - NJ (Required)
Education or Equivalent Experience:
+ Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited school of nursing or in pursuit of a BSN Less than 6 months professional nursing experience
+ GPA of 3.0 or above in nursing courses (Preferred)
+ Related work experience - previous experience in a health care environment (Preferred)
Specialized Skills & Knowledge Requirements:
+ Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedures
+ Ability to speak effectively with patients, families, and co-workers
+ Interpersonal skills, customer service orientation, ability to work as a team member, organizational skills
Additional Information:
The RN Residency program is a 12-month program which will consist of 8 mandatory seminars, classroom training and rotations through different units.
This cohort will start March 2025. Any candidates offered a position MUST have possession of NJ state RN license or at least license number verified online PRIOR to the scheduled start date.
