About the Registered Nurse RN Neuro ICU Role
*Work in a 22-bed adult ICU caring for critically ill patients who have a range of neurological diagnoses such as neurotrauma, status epilepticus, stroke and spinal cord injury
*Care for patients with complex comorbidities and multisystem organ involvement
*Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team in a challenging, fast paced environment
*Engage in unit-based research efforts recognized globally
*Flexible/unit-based schedules that do not require floating to other units

We are currently seeking a full time RN for the Neurosciences ICU at MGH. If you have experience working with neuro patients, this could be an opportunity for you. Position Highlights: *You will be caring for critically ill patients who have a variety of neurological diagnoses including stroke, brain hemorrhage, brain or back surgery, heal trauma or spinal cord injury *22 bed unit, adult population * work along-side a medical team in a challenging, fast-paced environment to build a professional practice and fulfilling career. *unit-based research efforts are among the best in the world and have afforded us the ability to provide patients with bedside CT scans. Patients may require life support systems, including mechanical ventilation for unstable respiratory status and/or medication via continuous infusion to maintain cardiovascular status. Qualifications
- BSN is preferred - Current licensure in Massachusetts as a registered nurse is required - Neuro and critical care experience are preferred, but candidates with experience in general acute care and demonstrating a strong interest in the neuroscience specialty will also be considered - This position requires you to work a day/night rotation shift - Ideal candidate has 2 years recent acute care RN experience, new grad RN's will not be considered.
