Nurse Supervisor- Medical & Radiation Oncology (FT- 1 fte)

Position Summary: 

The Nurse Supervisor Cancer Center is responsible for assisting with planning, directing, organizing, monitoring and staffing of patient care delivery in Oncology subject to policies, budgets, objectives and directives mandated by regulatory agencies, DNV and the hospital administrative team. Collaborates with nursing leadership to develop and implement patient care policies that are based on evidence and/or best practice nursing standards and comply with regulatory requirements. As new nursing knowledge and innovations in practice advance, leads their application into practice and ensures standardized implementation in their clinic while working closely with other nurse leaders and other members of the shared leadership team. Serves as a member of the Department of Nursing and has dedicated responsibility for all hours of operation to ensure effective nursing care with a focus on patients and nursing staff. Coordinates the activities of the nursing staff including appropriate staffing levels to ensure quality and safe patient care. Leads, supervises, evaluates and develop the nursing team through the day to day practices and change. Ensures policies, procedures, guidelines, and department specific nursing instructions are implemented and followed.

Minimum Qualifications:

Required

Bachelor’s degree in NursingMontana Licensure (Registered Nurse)American Heart Association BLSExperience working in an Oncology Unit, infusion center or ambulatory clinic.

Preferred

Master of Science NursingNursing supervisory experienceOncology Nursing specific certification

Physical Requirements

Lifting, Pushing, and Pulling: Support 50 pounds of weight (patient, assist with bedside needs, etc.) Lift 50 pounds (pick up a child, transfer a patient, etc.) Carry equipment/supplies.
