Salary: £35,000 - £45,000
Holiday: 25 days (plus Bank Holidays), increasing by 1 day each year until 30 days are reached

We are an independent nursery located in a prime area on the edge of Cambridge city center, with easy access to public transport and free onsite parking. The nursery boasts a large garden area and Forest School sessions, encouraging children to learn through play and exploration. Role Overview:
We are seeking an enthusiastic, experienced, and passionate Nursery Manager to lead a dynamic team and ensure the highest standards of care and education for children aged 0-5. As the Nursery Manager, you will be responsible for the overall management, including staff leadership, safeguarding, curriculum delivery, and maintaining a nurturing environment for both staff and children.

Key Responsibilities:
Leadership: Inspire and lead the nursery team to deliver outstanding care and education, promoting high standards of practice across all areas.
Staff Management: Oversee recruitment, induction, training, performance management, and development of nursery staff. Foster a positive, engaged, and cohesive team.
Child Protection: Develop, implement, and review safeguarding and child protection policies, ensuring compliance with legislation and best practices.
Curriculum Oversight: Ensure the nursery’s curriculum aligns with current EYFS standards, fostering a learning environment where all children make consistent progress.
Operational Management: Oversee daily operations, monitor children's progress, and work closely with the Deputy and Room Leaders to ensure high-quality care.
Stakeholder Engagement: Maintain strong communication with parents, staff, and external stakeholders, ensuring high levels of customer service.
Performance Monitoring: Conduct regular appraisals and staff reviews, addressing performance issues and promoting continuous professional growth.
Team Building: Lead staff meetings, mentor staff members, and create an environment where professional development is encouraged.
What We Need From You:
Qualifications: Full Level 3 or above Early Years qualification, with a passion for early childhood education.
Experience: At least 4-5 years of experience in an Early Years leadership role, ideally as a Nursery Manager, Deputy Manager, or similar senior role.
Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to work under pressure while maintaining high standards.
Passion: A genuine commitment to children’s development, innovative in your approach to education and care.
Safeguarding: Experience as a Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) or equivalent, with a solid understanding of safeguarding policies and procedures.
STEM Curriculum Experience: Experience or qualification in delivering STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) education in early years settings is desirable.

The position is available for immediate start, with a handover period until March 31st (subject to candidate availability).
