Key Responsibilities:
Lead Nursery Teams: Deliver outstanding care and educational experiences to children in your setting, ensuring their well-being and development.
Safety and Well-being: Oversee the safety and well-being of all children, staff, parents, and visitors.
EYFS Compliance: Ensure all statutory requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) are met, and regulatory requirements are followed.
Leadership and Team Development: Inspire, mentor, and support your team to provide high-quality early childhood education and care. Drive employee engagement and performance.
Safeguarding: As Designated Safeguarding Lead, take full responsibility for safeguarding and child protection, ensuring the nursery maintains a high-performance safety culture.
Risk Assessments: Conduct regular assessments to manage nursery health and safety.
Partnerships with Parents: Foster positive relationships with parents/carers, encouraging active participation and engagement in the nursery environment.
Talent Development: Collaborate with the Operations Manager to identify succession plans, nurturing and developing a strong talent pipeline within the nursery.
What We Need From You:
Level 3 or above in Early Years qualification.
1+ year of experience in a management position, such as Nursery Manager, Deputy Manager, Assistant Manager, or similar role.
2+ years’ experience working within Early Years settings.
Proven track record of passing an Ofsted inspection with a Good or Outstanding rating.
Knowledge of the EYFS statutory framework and regulatory requirements.
GCSE English and Maths (Grade C or equivalent).
Experience in building high-performance teams and improving quality in early childhood education.
Confident decision-maker, with a strong understanding of the balance between business operations and maintaining service excellence in a regulated environment.
In-depth knowledge of Safeguarding and Child Protection laws and practices.
Strong relationship-building skills, both internally with colleagues and externally with parents and partners.
