Full Jobs List Full Exams List Nursing Assistant (CNA) Trainee Location: Rochester, NY Title: Nursing Assistant (CNA) Trainee Deadline: Until Filled Salary: $17.60 hourly Agency/Dept.: Monroe Community Hospital Description of Duties This is a trainee position at Monroe Community Hospital. Trainees participate in a short-term training program where they learn the skills necessary to transition to a certified Nursing Assistant. Trainees begin their training in a classroom setting and progress into clinical practice. Upon completion of the training program, and state and local testing, trainees may work under supervision for an additional two (2) to three (3) weeks pending receipt of testing results and formal certification. Promotion to certified Nursing Assistant takes place upon successful completion of the training and receipt of New York State certification as a Nursing Assistant. Employees who do not successfully complete the training period and receive New York State certification as a Nursing Assistant within four (4) months of hire, will be removed from the position. The employee reports directly to, and works under the direct supervision of, clinical and nursing staff. Does related work as required. Minimum Qualifications Graduation from high school or possession of an equivalency diploma. Note: Currently recruiting for the March 10th and May 12th, Nurse Aide Trainee Program cohorts. The student is accountable for attendance during 100% of the course hours in all parts of the course (i.e. lecture, lab, and clinical). This attendance policy is firm.
