Atlantic Health System is seeking a full time Nursing Assistant I for the MMC Ambulatory Surgery Center located in Rockaway, NJ. The work week will be Monday - Friday, with varying shifts depending on the surgical schedule.

Team Member will be responsible for working with other healthcare professionals to help treat patients undergoing ambulatory surgery and other procedures, including but not limited to, Colonoscopies, Ortho sports and minor trauma, Ortho hand, GYN, Laparoscopic, Plastics, Urology, General, Rectal, Podiatry, Pediatrics. 

Principal Accountabilities:

Supporting nursing personnel in providing direct patient care to surgical patients

Assisting patients with ambulating, eating, drinking, toileting, dressing, positioning  Measuring vital signs including blood pressure, oxygen saturation, temperature, blood glucose Administering or monitoring basic treatments as directed by registered nurse Helping to ensure a safe care environment at all times Continuous rounding throughout department to ensure patient and family needs are met Ensuring patients and families have a positive patient experience by exhibiting PRIDE behaviors, rounding, collaboration, teamwork and a positive attitude Good communication skills Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and have positive customer service skills Change bed linens and clean stretchers and wheelchairs Change waste receptacles as needed Change sharps containers as needed Assist in the turnover and cleaning of the operating room Assist in the equipment management and positioning devices of the department Assist is restocking supplies and monitoring par levels Perform other related duties as assigned  Assist in the transport of patients upon discharge
