Education Qualifications:

Must meet ONE of the following requirements:

6 months of nursing assistant experienceCompletion of one semester of clinical rotations within an accredited nursing program Successful completion of an EH provided Nursing Assistant training within one month of hire Verifiable completion of a recognized nurse aide training program Current registration on applicable state nursing assistant registry

Essentia Health offers a Nursing Assistant Foundation course as well as on the job training for individuals interested in pursuing a Nursing Assistant career within a hospital setting! As a Nursing Assistant, you will provide direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, Nurse Manager, or Department Director, ensuring patient safety and comfort.

Duties may vary by unit or department but typically involve:

Assisting with personal hygiene and nutritional needsOffering comfort care and personalized assistanceSafely transferring patientsMonitoring vital signs and maintaining accurate recordsSwiftly reporting any changes in patient condition to the RNUpholding a clean, safe environment to enhance patient healing and well-being

Our Nursing Assistants work the following:

Every Other WeekendRotating 8 Hour ShiftsDay Shift: 7:00AM - 3:30PMEvening Shift: 3:00PM - 11:30PMOvernight Shift: 11:00PM - 7:30AM

A variety of scheduling options are available, including positions with 24 - 36 hours per week!

Licensure/Certification Qualifications:BLS certified or ability to become certified within 1 month from hire date.
