Atlantic Health System is seeking a dynamic Registered Nurse to join the energetic and innovative team of healthcare professionals as a Nurse Educator on the Care Management and Social Work Teams at Morristown Medical Center. This is a full-time position in which the candidate will enjoy the full array of benefits, as they provide their services during the day, Monday through Friday with occasional weekends for training/education.

Principal Accountabilities:


1. Ensures all on-the-job training is consistent with guidelines established 
2. Ensures that site trainers/preceptors have the knowledge, tools, and attitude to effectively train staff 
3. Acts as both a formal and informal consultant, assisting with the integration of new learning into practice and serving as a resource by assisting nurses/social workers in identifying problems, identifying available internal and external educational resources, and selecting educational options 
4. Works with the leadership team in identifying changes that should be made in case management practice and facilitating the initiation of, adoption of, and adaption to change. Strives for excellence in patient care by self-monitoring and, as necessary, to ensure the safety and well-being of the patient. Identifies existing and potential problems and takes effective actions. 
5. Develops and maintains an awareness of needed improvements in patient care, procedures, processes, documentation, equipment and supplies and makes recommendations. 
6. Other relevant duties as assigned.
