QUALIFICATIONS
Education
Graduate of a recognized degree nursing program. Completed or working towards Health Science/Health Informatics degree/certificate. Current registration/licensing with the provincial regulating body of residence.Experience
Five to ten years of Nursing Informatics work related experience, with direct experience in workflow process redesign, end user experience process re-engineering and/or workflow mapping is a must have Five to ten years working in progressive leadership roles in a healthcare/community care environment. Sound knowledge and experience in project management methodology Sound knowledge and experience in ensuring the integrity and security of health care information. Sound knowledge of clinical information systems and digitally enabled decision support toolsOther Skills and Abilities
Well-developed critical thinking, problem solving, planning and analytical skills. Detailed oriented and capable of exploring innovative solutions to solve complex problems Must be proficient in the use of MS suite of products (Word, Excel) Demonstrated critical thinking, problem solving, planning and analytical skills with specific ability to critically think across clinical and business spheres Demonstrates leadership qualities, including leading more by experience and active decision-making, rather than by strictly following rules Maintains professionalism and confidentiality. Strong organizational, and prioritization skills Accountable for decisions Confident in leading/initiating rapport with clinical /customer end users, while providing outstanding customer service Ability to work collaboratively within a cross functional team environment and seek input and consensus on decisions. Strong drive, a self-starter, able to work on own initiative and independently as needed. Comfortable working with multiple projects and ability to self-manage priorities. Ability to apply change management strategies to support education/training. Experience working with clinical information systems, including implementations and support. Flexibility to put in extra time when required by deadlines or system problems. Results oriented and able to work effectively in a fast-paced changing environment. Well-developed presentation and communication skills including verbal, written and sound listening. Travel to branch locations throughout Canada as required. French is an asset but not a must.PERFOMANCE REVIEW
Performance will be reviewed on an ongoing basis with a formal or informal review at the end of the three month probationary period and subsequently, on at least an annual basis. Input will be sought from employee, Supervisor, and other employees as required, and in addition, will be based on ongoing client feedback and the extent to which performance meets expectations.
