Nursing Intern
Position Summary Provides quality nursing care under the direction of a Registered Nurse. Works within the guidelines of established practice for the Patient Care Assistant at HMC. Supports the mission, philosophy and objectives of Hunterdon Medical Center. Primary Position Responsibilities 1. Assistant with total patient care under the direction of the RN 2. Promotes patient safety 3. Promotes and supports an organized work environment 4. Other duties as assigned Qualifications Minimum Education: Required: High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum Years of Experience (Amount, Type and Variation): Required: None License, Registry or Certification: Required: Required currently enrolled in nursing school and have completed the first clinical semester course (Nursing Fundamentals). CPR certification is required. Crisis Prevention (CPI) training is required, and must be renewed annually. If not certified upon hire, must obtain certification within 6 months. CPI Course will be provided at Hunterdon. Knowledge, Skills and/or Abilities: Required: Normal basic patient care equipment, wheelchairs and stretchers. Good interpersonal and communication skills.
