Nursing Intern - Pediatric Behavioral Health
Job Description​

The Opportunity:

Crittenton Children's Center is the Kansas City area's premier provider of psychiatric care for children, adolescents and their families. It is located on a picturesque, 96-acre campus in south Kansas City (near Longview Lake) providing serenity, beauty and privacy to assist with the healing process.  For more than 100 years we've cared for the emotional health of Kansas City's children and families. Today we offer one of the area's most comprehensive behavioral health care programs. This position will be supporting our Acute In-Patient and Residential Behavioral Health Programs. These programs provide behavioral health care for children ages 3-18 years, who require short term or long-term in-patient stays. Crittenton is backed by the complete resources of Saint Luke's Health System.

Weekday Shift Details:  Shift times are 0700-1930 Day shift or 1900-0730 Night Shift

The Work:

The Nursing Intern is for students currently enrolled in an accredited nursing program who have completed a Fundamentals of Nursing or Med Surg course.The Nursing Intern performs clinical procedures and provides patient care for assigned patients under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse.Performs direct and indirect patient care activities. Provides support to other health care team members. The Nursing Intern may perform technical tasks per unit competency validation.Nursing Interns are restricted from performing any licensed tasks

Must have BLS with American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
