About the job:

The Nursing Manager of Pre-Op, Post-Op, PACU and Cardiac Intervention is responsible for the 24-hour operations of designated nursing departments, ensuring exceptional staff, patient, and physician experiences. Oversees staffing, care delivery, financial, and operational outcomes while developing and retaining competent teams aligned with organizational goals and values.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Upholds the organization’s mission, values, and regulatory standards to ensure safe, patient-centered care. Manages department operations, staffing, and budget, ensuring productivity and quality metrics are met. Promotes patient safety, customer satisfaction, and physician collaboration. Recruits, trains, and evaluates staff while fostering a positive and inclusive work environment. Drives performance improvement, change initiatives, and clinical excellence. Serves as a resource for staff problem-solving and professional development. Ensures compliance with documentation, revenue reconciliation, and policy adherence. Provides direct patient care as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Graduate of an approved school of nursing. Knowledge of healthcare and nursing management practices that are normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor’s of Nursing degree.   Master’s Degree preferred.

Licensure: RN Indiana license.

Experience: Three or more years experience in related clinical area. Demonstrated leadership and management abilities. The following leadership qualities are desired: Accountability, change management, coaching, drive for improvement, integrity/valuing diversity, integration of mission and core values, patient focus, physician relations, and teamwork.
