**Position Summary:** The Nursing Supervisor directs and supervises Nursing Service Functions and Activities and serves as a resource and liaison to all Hospital Departments. **Position Requirements:** **Education:** Bachelor's Degree plus three years management experience required, or Master's Degree in Nursing plus two years management experience preferred. Previous management experience may be considered in lieu of education. **Experience:** Two to three years management (including Charge Nurse) experience required. Four years of recent pediatric clinical experience. **License/Certification:** Current RN license in State of California. BLS certification. **Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:** Effective verbal and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal skills. Good crisis management/prioritization abilities. Basic proficiency with personal computer (PC) and electronic medical record (Epic). **Physical Requirements:** Sit: Up to 3 hours/day Stand/Walk: 6-8 hours Bend/Stoop: Up to 3 hours Reach: Up to 6 hours Rep Use of UE/Grasp: Up to 6 hrs Lift/Push/Pull: 25 lbs, over 25# with assistance or equipment Able to restrain patient for procedures Able to lift infant/toddler independently. Can lift/turn other patients with assistance. This job requires the ability to hear alarms clients and/or instruction. The ability to see accurately from 20 inches to 20-ft.
