In India, Jhpiego works across various states in close collaboration with national and state governments, providing technical assistance in the areas of family planning, maternal and child health, strengthening human resources for health, and non-communicable diseases. Jhpiego is hiring for the position of Nursing Technical Advisor at Delhi India. The Advisor will work closely with the Nursing division to develop technical content, technical guidance and facilitate national and state coordination. This position will report to the National Program Manager, Nursing and will work closely with the Nursing Technical Director.
Responsibilities Lead the creation of a comprehensive competency dictionary for nursing and midwifery professionals.Engage with stakeholders to define key competencies for different nursing roles and ensure inclusion of technical, behavioral, and leadership competencies for holistic development.Work with different stakeholders to adapt, adopt, co-design and curate evidence-based learning resources tailored to nursing competencies.Incorporate innovative methodologies such as e-learning modules, simulations, and case-based learning and ensure alignment with the nursing education curriculum and regulatory guidelines.Work with various stakeholders to adapt, adopt, co-design and develop robust tools to assess nursing competencies, including formative and summative evaluations.Ensure inclusion of practical, scenario-based assessments to measure clinical and decision-making skills and collaborate with subject matter experts to validate tools for effectiveness and accuracy.Work with regulatory bodies, academic institutions, and healthcare facilities to gather inputs and ensure alignment and facilitate consultations and workshops with nursing educators and professionals for feedback.Build capacity of stakeholders to dry run /pilot the competency dictionary, learning resources, and assessment tools and therefore support the rollout of competency-based frameworks.Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor as per the need. Required QualificationsAbilities/Skills
Strong written and oral communication skills in English. Outstanding technical, academic, leadership, strategic thinking, organizational, team-building, and representational skills. Excellent problem-solving skills and demonstrated experience utilizing innovation to effectuate disruptive change in health care systems of low and middle-income countries Ability to work with diverse technical teams.Ability to multi-task and work in multicultural environment Ability to handle a variety of assignments under the pressure of deadlines Proficiency in computers – Microsoft Office Ability and willingness to travel up to 50 % of his/her time
Qualifications/Knowledge and Experience
Advanced degree in Nursing is mandatory12+ years' experience in working in academics in a reputed nursing institutions of IndiaDemonstrated experience and knowledge in existing academic curriculum and clinical scope of work in nursing Demonstrated leadership, strategic thinking, organizational, and representational skillsDocumented experience in supporting governments to adopt policies based upon evidence.Jhpiego offers competitive salaries and a comprehensive employee benefits package.
