**Job Summary**
The Nutritional Services Lead is responsible for overseeing the Nutritional Services Tech and assigning work and may perform functions of the Nutritional Services Tech. The Nutritional Services tech is responsible for providing nutritional care to patients. The Nutritional Services Lead makes daily meal rounds and collects survey information. They will update the food preference and nourishment information and relay pertinent information. The Nutritional Services tech provides the floor units, outpatient areas, and outlying clinics with nourishments. The Nutritional Services tech will assist in retail service hours as needed. The Nutritional Services tech will perform the Diet Clerk and Tray Line Assistant duties in the event of a callout or short staffing.
**Essential Functions**
+ Introduces Nutritional Services & explains diet orders to new admissions.
+ Assists Registered Dietitians with 24-hour screening of new admissions.
+ Reviews report for patients advanced from NPO/Clear/Full diets.
+ Delivers new trays & afternoon snack carts as needed.
+ Conducts daily meal round; Documents, resolves, and refers all comments & concerns to Department Leader.
+ Conducts two or more test trays per week.
+ Coordinates and records distribution of nourishments to floor units, outpatient areas, and outlying clinics.
+ Assigns daily work and oversees work on Nutritional Services Tech
+ Performs other duties as assigned.
+ Complies with all policies and standards.
**Qualifications**
+ H.S. Diploma or GED required
+ 1-2 years Experience in food service operation preferred
**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**
+ Good communication and interpersonal skills
+ Ability to lead others.
+ Knowledge of Nutrition Program and food safety regulations.
+ Proficiency in budget management and resource allocation.
+ Excellent customer service and organizational skills
+ Ability to work independently and as a team member.
+ Knowledge of acute care food service and nutrition operations.
